What Is Darood Taj?
The Darood Taj is one of the most common Darood according to Muslims. It is also known as Salat-ul-Taj (the prayer of the crown). It is considered to be originally composed by Sheikh Abu Bakr Bin Salim who was a well-known scholar of his era. He was from a valley of South Yemen born there in 919 AH or 1513 CE. He was also titled “Fakhar-al-Wujud” by the people of that time, Fakhr-al-Wajud means “the pride of existence”.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ ❁ صَاحِبِ التَّاجِ وَالْمِعْرَاجِ وَالْبُرَاقِ وَالْعَلَمِ ❁ دَافِعِ الْبَلآءِ وَالْوَبَآءِ وَالْقَحْطِ وَالْمَرَضِ وَالْأَلَمِ ❁ اِسْمُهُ مَكْتُوبٌ مَرْفُوعٌ مَشْفُوعٌ مَنْقُوشٌ فِي اللَّوْحِ وَالْقَلَمِ ❁ سَيِّدِ الْعَرَبِ وَالْعَجَمِ ❁ جِسْمُهُ مُقَدَّسٌ مُعَطَّرٌ مُطَهَّرٌ مُنَوَّرٌ فِي الْبَيْتِ وَالْحَرَمِ ❁ شَمْسِ الضُّحَى ❁ بَدْرِ الدُّجَى ❁ صَدْرِ الْعُلَى ❁ نُورِ الْهُدَى ❁ كَهْفِ الْوَرَى ❁ مِصْبَاحِ الظُّلَمِ ❁ جَمِيلِ الشِّيَمِ ❁ شَفِيعِ الْأُمَمِ ❁ صَاحِبِ الْجُودِ وَالْكَرَمِ ❁ وَاللهُ عَاصِمُهُ ❁ وَجِبْرِيلُ خَادِمُهُ ❁ وَالْبُرَاقُ مَرْكَبُهُ ❁ وَالْمِعْرَاجُ سَفَرُهُ ❁ وَسِدْرَتُ الْمُنْتَهَى مَقَامُهُ ❁ وَقَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ مَطْلُوبُهُ ❁ وَالْمَطْلُوبُ مَقْصُودُهُ ❁ وَالْمَقْصُودُ مَوْجُودُهُ ❁ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ ❁ خَاتِمِ النَّبِيِّينَ ❁ شَفِيعِ الْمُذْنِبِينَ ❁ أَنِيسِ الْغَرِيبِينَ ❁ رَحْمَةٍ لِلْعَالَمِينَ ❁ رَاحَةِ الْعَاشِقِينَ ❁ مُرَادِ الْمُشْتَاقِينَ ❁ شَمْسِ الْعَارِفِينَ ❁ سِرَاجِ السَّالِكِينَ ❁ مِصْبَاحِ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ ❁ مُحِبِّ الْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْغُرَبَاءِ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ ❁ سَيِّدِ الثَّقَلَيْنِ ❁ نَبِيِّ الْحَرَمَيْنِ ❁ إِمَامِ الْقِبْلَتَيْنِ ❁ وَسِيلَتِنَا فِي الدَّارَيْنِ ❁ صَاحِبِ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ ❁ مَحْبُوبِ رَبِّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَالْمَغْرِبَيْنِ ❁ جَدِّ الْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْنِ ❁ مَوْلَانَا وَمَوْلَى الثَّقَلَيْنِ ❁ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ ❁ نُورٍ مِنْ نُورِ اللهِ ❁ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُشْتَاقُونَ بِنُورِ جَمَالِهِ ❁ صَلّوُا عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا

Darood Taj In English
O Allah, send prayers upon our master and patron Muhammad, the possessor of the crown, the Mi’raj, the Buraq, and the flag, the repeller of hardships, epidemics, droughts, diseases, and pain. His name is written, exalted, combined, and engraved upon the tablet and pen. The master of both Arabs and non-Arabs, whose body is sanctified, fragrant, pure, and illuminated in the House and the Sanctuary.
He is the bright sun, the full moon of the dark night, the foremost in loftiness, the light of guidance, the cave of refuge for mankind, the lantern in the darkness. He is of beautiful character, the intercessor for nations, the possessor of graciousness and generosity.
Allah is his protector, Gabriel his servant, the Buraq his mount, the Mi’raj his voyage, the Lote Tree of the Uppermost Limit his station, two bows’ length or nearer the object of his quest; that which is sought is that which he desires and that which he desires is that which he finds.
He is the master of the Messengers, the Seal of the Prophets, the intercessor of sinners, the comforter of strangers, the mercy for the worlds, the delight of divine lovers, the object of yearning, the sun of the gnostics, the lamp for travelers upon the path to Allah, the lantern of those brought near, the lover of the poor, the strangers and the destitute.
The master of the two weighty things (humans and Jinn), the Prophet of the two sanctuaries, the Imam of the two Qiblas, our means of salvation in both abodes, the one at two bows length, the beloved of the Lord of the two Easts and the two Wests, the grandfather of Imam Hasan and Imam Husayn, our protector and the protector of the two worlds, the Father of Qasim, Muhammad, the son of Abdullah, a light from the light of Allah.
O you who yearns for the light of his beauty, invoke abundant blessings and peace upon him, his family, and Companions.

اے اللہ ہمارے آقا و مولیٰ محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر درود بھیج، تاج، معراج، براق اور پرچم کے مالک، مصیبتوں، وباؤں، خشک سالی، بیماریوں اور دردوں کو دور کرنے والے۔ اس کا نام تختی اور قلم پر لکھا، بلند، یکجا اور کندہ ہے۔ عرب اور عجم دونوں کا آقا، جس کا جسم مقدس، خوشبودار، پاکیزہ اور گھر اور حرم میں روشن ہے۔
وہ روشن سورج، تاریک رات کا پورا چاند، بلندی میں سب سے آگے، ہدایت کا نور، بنی نوع انسان کے لیے پناہ کا غار، تاریکی میں چراغ ہے۔ وہ خوبصورت سیرت کا مالک ہے، قوموں کے لیے شفاعت کرنے والا، رحم دلی اور سخاوت کا مالک ہے۔
اللہ اس کا محافظ ہے، جبرائیل اس کا بندہ، اس کا براق اس کا پہاڑ، معراج اس کا سفر، اوپر والا لوط کا درخت اس کا ٹھکانہ، دو کمانوں کی لمبائی یا اس سے زیادہ اس کی تلاش کی چیز؛ جس کی طلب ہے وہ ہے جو وہ چاہتا ہے اور جو چاہتا ہے وہ پاتا ہے۔
وہ رسولوں کا سردار، خاتم النبیین، گنہگاروں کی شفاعت کرنے والا، غیروں کی تسلی کرنے والا، جہانوں کے لیے رحمت، الہٰی سے محبت کرنے والوں کی لذت، تڑپ کا سامان، جہالت کا سورج، چراغ ہے۔ اللہ کے راستے کے مسافر، قریب آنے والوں کا چراغ، غریبوں کا عاشق، اجنبیوں اور مسکینوں کا۔
دو وزنی چیزوں (انسانوں اور جنوں) کا مالک، دو حرموں کا نبی، دونوں قبلوں کا امام، دونوں جگہوں میں ہماری نجات کا ذریعہ، دو کمانوں میں ایک، دونوں کے رب کا محبوب مشرق اور دو مغرب، امام حسن اور امام حسین کے دادا، ہمارے محافظ اور دو جہانوں کے محافظ، قاسم کے والد، محمد، عبداللہ کے بیٹے، اللہ کے نور سے ایک نور۔
اے اس کے حسن کے نور کی تمنا کرنے والے، ان پر، ان کی آل اور صحابہ کرام پر کثرت سے درود و سلام بھیجا کرو۔
