What Is Taraweeh?
Taraweeh is a sunnah prayer of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). It is usually prayed as 20 Rakat after the obligatory prayer Isha and before the wajib prayer Witr with a jamaat in the mosque.
Muslims can pray Taraweeh in their homes as well as in the mosque (on a side without disturbing jamaat) alone instead of the jamaat.
What Is Taraweeh Dua?
Taraweeh Dua is prayed before starting praying Taraweeh and after every 4 Rakat of Taraweeh prayer. It is not proven to be sunnah or mustahabb but it is a good deed, recommended by the prominent Ulama. Those of you, who can not keep remembering the Taraweeh Dua, can pray any dua in any language after 4 Rakat of Taraweeh. And according to the prominent Ulama, making the Taraweeh Dua compulsory is Biddatt.
How To Pray Taraweeh Dua?
Whenever you finish the Obligatory 4 Rakat of Isha prayer, say 2 Sunnah and 2 Rakat nafl. after that, recite Taraweeh Dua once and then start praying the Taraweeh prayer. After finishing the 2 Rakat of Taraweeh prayer, stand up and pray 2 Rakat more. Whenever you finish the 4 Rakat of Taraweeh prayer, recite Taraweeh Dua once more. Keep this strategy until the last Rakat of Taraweeh.
